Lincoln Center Theater's 4000 MILES Closes

-LCT-Extends-4000-MILES-Through-71-20010101

Lincoln Center Theater today closes Amy Herzog's 4000 MILES, directed by Daniel Aukin, at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater (150 West 65 Street). This was the second extension for 4000 MILES, with the original run of the production extended through Sunday, June 17, after 4000 MILES opened to critical acclaim in early April.

4000 MILES, which features Gabriel Ebert, Greta Lee, Mary Louise Wilson and Zoë Winters, had its world premiere last June as a production of LCT3, Lincoln Center Theater's programming initiative devoted to producing the work of new artists and developing new audiences. Paige Evans is Artistic Director/LCT3.

After losing his best friend while they were on a cross-country bike trip, 21 year-old Leo (Gabriel Ebert) seeks solace with his feisty 91 year-old grandmother (Mary Louise Wilson) in her West Village apartment. 4000 Miles examines how these two outsiders find their way in today's world. The production has sets by Lauren Helpern, costumes by Kaye Voyce, lighting by Japhy Weideman and original music and sound by Ryan Rumery.

This spring, LCT is also presenting the Tony Award winning production of War Horse, co-produced with The National Theatre of Great Britain and Bob Boyett, adapted from the Michael Morpurgo novel by Nick Stafford with the Handspring Puppet Company and directed by Marianne Elliott and Tom Morris, at the Vivian Beaumont Theater, Jon Robin Baitz's Other Desert Cities, directed by Joe Mantello, on Broadway at the Booth Theatre and is also a co-producer of the current Broadway production of Bruce Norris' Clybourne Park, directed by Pam MacKinnon at the Walter Kerr Theatre. Next month, LCT will open its newest stage, the Claire Tow Theater which will be the home of LCT3, with Slowgirl, a new play by Greg Pierce, directed by Anne Kauffman.
