Most of the media is about women and children. This creates an inbalance in our modern world. If men were treated as special as women, I believe the world would be a safer and happier place. The media should pay more attention to the male and female rather than showing picures of mothers with their children. This is a conditioned state which should be made aware of and overcome in the press. Magazines should always include the father, mother and their offspring instead of just showing the woman and child. Also marriage pictures are usually about the bride and this downplays the importance of the groom. Men are very sensitive to the way the public perceives them. They also need to be appreciated and understood in ways which are true and valued. If men were to get more attention, they would feel a responsibility to taking better care of their appearance and health. Instead of showing men to be inadequate, we should show their ability to make things happen and thus be honored more. The tv commercials always make the women smarter and in charge rather than the men to be shown as intelligent and caring.
