Barry Williams Makes Guest Appearance In MISS ABIGAIL May 4

Barry-Williams-To-Make-Guest-Appearance-In-MISS-ABIGAIL-20010101

Eve Plumb and the company of the hit new Off-Broadway comedy MISS ABIGAIL'S GUIDE TO DATING, MATING, AND MARRIAGE! are pleased to announce that Ms. Plumb's acclaimed "Brady Bunch" co-star Barry Williams will make a special cameo apperance as part of the 2 p.m. matinee performance on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at the Downstairs Cabaret Theatre at Sofia's (221 West 46th Street, next to the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre in Times Square).

Williams, who is also the author of the book Growing Up Brady, will also stay to participate in a special "Brady" themed post-show talkback immediately following the matinee. All audience members are invited to attend.

Plumb and Williams share a long history as television siblings -- Jan and Greg, respectively -- on the iconic '70s series, in addition to several spinoff series and television sequels in the years to follow, including "The Brady Girls Get Married," "A Very Brady Christmas" and "The Bradys."

Plumb, who made her New York stage debut last October, will play her final performance as Miss Abigail on Sunday, May 29, 2011.

Written by Ken Davenport (Altar Boyz, My First Time) and Sarah Saltzberg (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee), MISS ABIGAIL'S GUIDE TO DATING, MATING, AND MARRIAGE! is based on Abigail Grotke's popular book - the comedy's namesake - that promises "classic advice for contemporary dilemmas."

Miss Abigail is the most sought-after relationship expert to the stars - think Dr. Ruth meets Emily Post - and in MISS ABIGAIL'S GUIDE TO DATING, MATING, AND MARRIAGE!, she and her sexy sidekick Paco (played by Mauricio Perez) travel the globe teaching her outrageously funny "how-tos" on dating, mating and marriage.

Davenport directs as Miss Abigail takes you back to a simpler time, before booty calls and speed-dating, back when the divorce rate wasn't 50 percent and Fidelity was more than an investment firm.

During this 90-minute comedy, audiences are guaranteed to laugh-out-loud and learn a thing or two . . . like how to have a perfect kiss (it's all about lip position) . . . what you should and should not talk about on a date (don't mention your troll doll collection) . . . and how to let a man think he wears the pants.

MISS ABIGAIL'S GUIDE TO DATING, MATING, AND MARRIAGE! features scenic design by Hilary Noxon, costume design by Abbi Stern and lighting design by Graham Kindred. The production began preview performances on Thursday, October 7, 2010 and officially opened on Sunday, October 24.
