Erik Jensen will join the cast of the LCT3 production of Disgraced, a new play by Ayad Akhtar, directed by Kimberly Senior, beginning tonight, Wednesday, October 10. Mr. Jensen will assume the role of Isaac from Adam Dannheisser, who is recovering from an illness which forced him to withdraw from the production. Disgraced began previews Sunday, October 7 and will open on Monday, October 22 for a limited engagement at the Claire Tow Theater, 150 West 65 Street.
Erik Jensen, as an actor, has appeared on the NY stage in various productions at The Public Theater, Manhattan Theatre Club and MCC. He is best known to TV audiences for his portrayal of Thurman Munson in The Bronx is Burning opposite John Turturro. His many film and TV credits include Black Knight, The Love Letter, Leverage, Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia, NCIS: Los Angeles, The Good Wife, Rescue Me and 30 Rock. With his wife Jessica Blank he co-authored the long-running hit off-Broadway play The Exonerated which won the Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Off-Broadway Play as well as the Lucille Lortel and Drama Desk Awards. The play is currently being revived off-Broadway by the Culture Project. The pair also co-authored the play Aftermath which was produced by the New York Theatre Workshop.
Disgraced is performed Monday and Wednesday through Sunday evenings at 7pm, with matinees Saturdays and Sundays at 2pm. All tickets are $20 and are available at the Lincoln Center Theater box office, at telecharge.com or by visiting www.lct3.org.
