Rather than abuse her, Leslie's alcoholic father would buy her shoes, drag race the lawnmower, and burn the neighbor's bills, while her mother managed a doomed Christian bookstore and prayed in tongues over Leslie's ailing sister. LESLIE GOSHKO (writer/performer) is a NY performer who loves all things comedy. She is a Manhattan Monologue Slam Champion, recipient of the NY Fringe Excellence Award, and host of the monthly storytelling show at Comix Comedy Club, Sideshow Goshko, which has been hailed as a "top comedy pick." She performs storytelling at such NY staples as The Liar Show, Risk!, and Speakeasy, and has performed with NY improv troupes, Start Trekkin', the Headshop Guerillas, and The Red Tie Mafia. Her original one-woman show, S.C.A.B.s Stick Together, debuted at the renowned UCB Theater, and in 2007 she wrote, directed, and produced the original full-length musical comedy, 16 Bars. She's contributed her comedy writing to the NY Metro Funny Page and funnynotslutty.com. She's also pretty proud to have performed on Broadway with the cast of Hairspray. Yeah, that was pretty cool. When he's not busy dealing with Leslie's neuroses or paying the bills, he puts his degrees in theatre and writing to use by directing shows like this. The FRIGID New York Festival was founded by Horse Trade and EXIT Theatre in 2007.
