Prospect Theater Company (Cara Reichel, Producing Artistic Director / Melissa Huber, Managing Director) presents its annual gala, 2012's Spring Soirée, in the Harbor View Room at Battery Gardens in Battery Park. This special one-night-only event is tonight, Monday, May 21 with an 8 pm concert performance, featuring performances by Broadway friends as well as Prospect stars.
In anticipation of Prospect's upcoming July production of Cole Porter's NYMPH ERRANT, the evening's program will feature songs by Cole Porter as well as 2011 Cole Porter Award recipient and Prospect founding member Peter Mills, and other selections from Prospect's decade-long repertoire of new musicals.
Currently scheduled to appear are: four-time Tony Award-nominee Gregg Edelman (City of Angels, Anna Karenina, 1776, Into the Woods), Tony Award-nominee Melissa Errico (Anna Karenina, High Society, My Fair Lady), Randy Graff (Les Miserables, City of Angels, High Society, A Class Act),
Ann Harada (Avenue Q, 9 to 5, The Kid), and Alex Wyse (Lysistrata Jones).
Prospect is also pleased to welcome back members of its 2012 cast of Myths and Hymns:
Ally Bonino, Donell James Foreman, Anika Larsen, Lucas Steele, and two-time Tony Award nominee Bob Stillman -for an encore performance!
