Cher Heading to Broadway in New Musical Based on Her Life

Music superstar Cher just announced via Twitter that a musical based on her life is currently in the works. Cher revealed that the show, which is aiming for a Broadway run, will feature two other actresses as younger 'Cher,' with Cher playing the older version of herself. Billy Ray Cyrus to Make Broadway Debut in CHICAGO This Winter

USA Today reports that "Country singer/actor/celebrity dad Billy Ray Cyrus is poised to make his bow on the New York stage in the long-running revival of Chicago. From Nov. 5 through Dec. 23, Cyrus, 50, will join the cast as the suave, ethically challenged attorney Billy Flynn." (more...)

PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT will play the Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University (50 East Congress Parkway) for two weeks only, March 19 – 31, 2013. Happy Birthday, Hunter Foster! Foster is perhaps best known for playing "Bobby Strong" in Urinetown, for which he received nominations for an Outer Critics Circle Award and a Lucille Lortel Award. In 2003, Foster starred as "Seymour" in the Broadway revival of Little Shop of Horrors, for which he received his first Tony Award nomination. Foster also appeared as "Leo Bloom" in The Producers on Broadway, "Ensign Pulver" in Mister Roberts at the Kennedy Center, "Ben" in Modern Orthodox off-Broadway, and "Sam Phillips" in Million Dollar Quartet.
