WICKED Begins UK Tour, September 2013

WICKED, the global musical phenomenon that tells the incredible untold story of the Witches of Oz, will begin a major tour of the UK and Ireland at the Palace Theatre in Manchester on 12 September 2013. Angela Lansbury Set to Headline THE CHALK GARDEN, Fall 2013

Angela Lansbury, whose career has spanned close to seven decades in film and theatre, is currently gearing up for an Australian tour of DRIVING MISS DAISY opposite James Earl Jones. The tour, which launches in February, will wrap up in June 2013 - but don't expect Lansbury to take too much down time. She tells the Sydney Morning Herald that she'll be back to performing next fall in New York, in a new production of Enid Bagnold's THE CHALK GARDEN. (more...)

Based on Lawrence Kasdan's 1992 Warner Bros. film, this brand new musical of The Bodyguard, with book by Alex Dinelaris will open at the Adelphi Theatre in Autumn 2012. Previews begin on 6 November 2012, twenty years after the release of the Oscar nominated film. The production stars Heather Headley and Lloyd Owen.

The producers of GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS have announced a new opening press date to account for cancelled rehearsals as a result of Hurricane Sandy. With several other Broadway shows slated to open in the coming weeks, and taking the week of Thanksgiving into account the new opening press date will be Saturday, December 8, 2012 with a review release date of Monday, December 10, 2012. Andrew Lloyd Webber to Take All-Canadian Cast of THE WIZARD OF OZ on North American Tour in 2013

According to The Globe and Mail, Andrew Lloyd Webber's reworked stage musical The Wizard of Oz is set to launch a North American tour in fall of 2013. Danielle of La Salle, Ontario, has just been cast in the lead role of "Dorothy" after competing in CBC's reality series "Over the Rainbow." She will also lead the all-Canadian cast on the tour.
