Gavin Creel and Jared Gertner to Reprise National Tour Roles in West End's THE BOOK OF MORMON, Beginning Feb 2013

The producers of Roald Dahl's MATILDA THE MUSICAL announced today that Olivier Award-winner Bertie Carvel will reprise the role of Miss Trunchbull in the Broadway production of the Royal Shakespeare Company's eagerly anticipated musical which begins performances on March 4 and opens on April 11 at the Shubert Theatre (235 West 44th Street). Blythe Danner Joins Cast of NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT, 12/16

The producers of the Tony Award winning musical comedy NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT are pleased to announce that Emmy and Tony Award winner Blythe Danner will join the production for 12 weeks only beginning Tuesday, December 18th and continuing through March 10th. Ms. Danner will assume the role of Millicent Winter, the mother of Matthew Broderick's character Jimmy Winter. The new production of RODGERS + HAMMERSTEIN'S CINDERELLA will now open on Broadway on Sunday, February 24, 2013, with previews set to begin January 24. Originally scheduled to preview January 21 and open on February 21, the new preview/opening date results from a production schedule that was delayed as a result of Hurricane Sandy. Robert Sean Leonard to Lead PYGMALION at Old Globe Theatre, 1/12-2/17

Stage, television and film star Robert Sean Leonard will star as Henry Higgins in The Old Globe's 100th anniversary production of George Bernard Shaw's masterwork, Pygmalion. The Tony Award-winning actor last appeared on The Old Globe stage as Edgar in Jack O'Brien's renowned 1993 presentation of King Lear starring HAl Holbrook. Directed by Nicholas Martin (Broadway's Butley with Nathan Lane and Present Laughter with Victor Garber), Pygmalion will run on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center, Jan. 12 – Feb. 17, 2013. Preview performances run Jan. 12 – Jan. 16. Opening night is Thursday, Jan. 17 at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are currently available by subscription only. Single tickets go on sale Sunday, Dec. 9 at 12 noon.
