Samantha Barks, star of the upcoming film LES MISERABLES, is one of six young actors who will be honored with the 'Hollywood Spotlight Award' at this year's Hollywood Film Awards gala ceremony to be held October 22 at the Beverly Hilton. Artistic Director Diane Paulus, with circus choreography by Gypsy Snider of the Montreal-based circus company Les 7 doigts de la main (also known as 7 Fingers) and choreography by Chet Walker in the style of Bob Fosse. Set design is by Tony Award-winning designer Scott Pask, costume design by Dominique Lemieux, lighting design by Tony Award-winning designer Kenneth Posner, and sound design by Tony winner and A.R.T. Portland Center Stage (PCS) will present the world premiere of the new musical, Somewhere in Time, based on the novel by renowned author Richard Matheson (I Am Legend, What Dreams May Come), which was made into the hit film starring Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour. Two time Tony Award-winning Goodspeed Musicals, under the leadership of Executive Director Michael P. Price, is delighted to announce its Golden Anniversary season at the Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam, Conn. The 50th season includes three very special musicals that are sure to please theatregoers: the charming collegiate comedy Good News will run from April 12 – June 22; Jerry Herman's beloved Hello, Dolly! will run from June 28 – September 8; and Frank Loesser's enchanting Broadway hit The Most Happy Fella will run from September 20 – December 1, 2013. "To the cheers of many, on June 18, 1963 the footlights were once again lit on the Goodspeed Opera House stage. And now, fifty years later, we are in awe that so much has happened in and because of this gem of a building. It truly was an impossible dream that, from this tiny stage, the world of American musical theatre would be changed forever.
