Invisible Theatre Presents FAULT LINES; Opens Tonight, 12/10

The Invisible City Theatre Company presents the World Premiere of FAULT LINES - a new play by Invisible City company member Rebecca Louise Miller inspired by the infamous Polly Klaas kidnapping that rocked the United States in the 1990's. Previews begin December 9 prior to an official press opening of December 10 at the Dorothy Strelsin Theatre in the Abingdon Theatre Complex (312 West 36th Street - between 8th and 9th Avenues) in Manhattan.

Inspired by the infamous Polly Klaas kidnapping that rocked the United States in the 1990's, Rebecca Louise Miller's new play FAULT LINES - which was a semi-finalist at the 2009 O'Neill Playwrights Conference and a finalist for the Lark's Playwrights Week - concerns Jessica Cohn, a victims' rights activist returning to her roots to memorialize her childhood friend, Nina, who was kidnapped from a birthday party and murdered more than twenty years ago. Hounded by the press, Jessica finds herself holed up inside the home of Bethany, another friend of the victim who has, over the years, become devoutly religious. The triangle is complete with the arrival of Kat, a pill-popping alcoholic. Once together, these three women toil with the past and their ruined friendships; each haunted by uncertainty over what they could have and should have done differently.

The cast of FAULT LINES features Anais Alexandra, Jenna Doolittle, Tobin Ludwig, and Rebecca Louise Miller.

Directed by Invisible City Artistic Director David Epstein, FAULT LINES design team is Joe W. Novak (Lighting Design) and Ira Haskell (Set Design).

Rebecca Louise Miller (Playwright) recently made her television acting debut starring opposite Sigourney Weaver as Jeannette in the Emmy nominated movie PRAYERS FOR BOBBY. A native of Northern California, Rebecca graduated from Brown University with a degree in Theater Arts. She has performed with ICTC as Hannah Jarvis in ARCADIA, Anya in THE CHERRY ORCHARD, and originated the role of Gina in the world premiere of CORONADO, by Dennis Lehane. FAULT LINES is Ms. Miller's first full-length play.

David Epstein (Director) is an active alumni from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts and is the founder of Invisible City Theatre Company. Under his watch, ICTC was nominated for Best New Full Length Play at the 2006 Independent Theatre Awards, named People of the Year 2004, by NYTheatre.com, and Best Production Winner at the 2004 OOBR Awards. Recent collaborations include the world premieres of CORONADO, by Dennis Lehane (author of Mystic River), and AIRPORT HILTON, by Anthony Jaswinski (author of the upcoming film KRISTY by Dimension Films). Other NYC directing credits include ARCADIA, THE CHERRY ORCHARD, THE MEMORY OF WATER, THE BEGGAR'S OPERA (Best Production, OOBR Awards), DANNY AND THE DEEP BLUE SEA and ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST. Mr. Epstein has written and directed four of his own full-length plays, which are now published by Smith and Kraus books.

Invisible City Theater Company was founded in 2002, and is dedicated to shedding light on new plays and playwrights. We balance our focus on original scripts by producing challenging classics. Previous ICTC productions include: Dennis Lehane's CORONADO, PURPLE HEARTS, MIDNIGHT, ARCADIA, DANNY AND THE DEEP BLUE SEA, THE BEGGAR'S OPERA - recipient of the 2004 OOBR Award for Best Production, AIRPORT HILTON, and DRINKING AND DIVING. In addition, ICTC was named 2004's People of the Year by NYTheatre.com.

Scheduled December 9 through December 19, FAULT LINES performs Tuesdays through Fridays at 8:00pm; Saturdays at 3:00pm and 8:00pm and Sundays at 3:00pm at the Dorothy Strelsin Theatre in the Abingdon Theatre Complex (312 West 36th Street - between 8th and 9th Avenues). Tickets are $20 and can be reserved by calling TheaterMania at 212-352-3101 or online at www.TheaterMania.com.
