John Hillner Joins Cast of PERFECT CRIME, 11/23

John Hillner, who starred on Broadway as Georges in the Tony Award-winning 2004 revival of La Cages Aux Folles, will join the cast of Perfect Crime, the longest-running play in New York history, on Monday, November 23, 2009. He assumes the role of Harrison Brent and replaces Randy Kovitz, who will play his final performance on Sunday, November 22.

Hillner's other Broadway credits include Mamma Mia!, Crazy For You, They're Playing Our Song, Little Me, Footloose, Woman of The Year, Big: the Musical, Zorba opposite Anthony Quinn and the 25th anniversary production of Company at the Roundabout Theatre. Off Broadway and regional credits include Michael Weller's At Home (Split, Part One) at The Actors and Directors Lab, Carol Hall's To Whom It May Concern, Angry Housewives at The Minetta Lane Theater, I Do! I Do! opposite Donna McKechnie, and John Adams in 1776 at Houston's Theatre Under The Stars. He was also a member of the improvisation group The Proposition at The Wooster Street Garage. Film and television credits include The Good Shepherd, The Ministers, Money For Nothing, Say Anything, Friendly Fire, Damages, Gossip Girl, Ugly Betty, Cold Case, Numb3rs, Seinfeld, Law & Order and As The World Turns.

A secluded mansion. A would-be murderess. The perfect crime. Margaret Brent is an accomplished Connecticut psychiatrist-and potential cold-blooded killer. When her wealthy husband turns up dead, she gets caught in the middle of a terrifying game of cat and mouse with a deranged patient and the handsome but duplicitous investigator assigned to the case. Perfect Crime has played over 9,000 performances since opening on April 18, 1987. It has been featured in every major New York publication as well as in People magazine and on Entertainment Tonight and The Today Show.

Written by Warren Manzi and directed by Jeffrey Hyatt, the cast of Perfect Crime also includes Catherine Russell, who has starred in the show since its first performance, played all but four of its performances and has been inducted into The Guinness Book of World Records for this feat; Patrick Robustelli (Guardian Star); Rob Sedgwick (Major Barbara at The Irish Repertory Theater, Enemies at The Williamstown Theater Festival) and Richard Shoberg (24 years as Tom Cudahy on ABC's All My Children).

Tickets for Perfect Crime at The Snapple Center are available by calling the box office at (212) 921-7862 or Ticketmaster.com at (212) 307-4100. Student rush tickets are also available by calling or visiting the box office. The Snapple Theater Center is located at 210 West 50th Street at Broadway.
