LMAO, the off-Broadway improvised musical comedy revue from the cast of Improv troupe, EIGHT IS NEVER ENOUGH, now plays Saturdays 8pm at the Times Square Arts Center (669 8th Ave New York, NY 10036). Starting April 2011 the schedule will expand to Fridays and Sundays at 8pm, with additional shows during Spring Break. Later this Spring the cast brings back there LATE NITE uncensored show Saturdays at 11pm. Tickets for the 80-minute musical comedy revue are available for $20-50 (VIA OVATION TIX 866-811-4111; Group Sales 212-568-6560). Food and beverage (full bar) served but there are no minimums.

A popular destination for student groups, you never quite know what the show will be about. Many audience volunteers participate on stage while all are invited to contribute and inspire ideas for scenes and music. Recent audiences have had fun with Justin Bieber, Charlie Sheen, Lady Gaga, Kesha, Civil Unrest in the Mideast, Wisconsin, Obama, and Facebook. Often profound and topical, the show is always hilarious and relevant. Kicking it up a notch with improvised hip-hop, blues, Broadway and rock parodies, this show is like no other in NYC.

The cast, all members of EIGHT IS NEVER ENOUGH (www.eightimprov.biz), features professional singers, actors and comics from Broadway, Off Broadway, TV and Film. Featured guests include Walt Frasier (Letterman, MTV, VH1), Lee Markham (Altar Boyz, Off-Broadway) and Charles Murray (Dreamgirls, original Broadway Cast). Also appearing this month: John Gleason, Paul DeGrocco, PatRick Reidy, Amelia Fowler, John Rhea, Evan Schultz, Rebeca Diaz, David Moroney, and Jared Mark Smith.
