NEVER NORMAN ROCKWELL Plays 11/4-6 At The Manhattan Repertory Theatre

NEVER Norman RockWELL: A Post-Modern Gay Bromance TO PREMIERE IN Manhattan Repertory Theatre'S GLBT FESTIVAL IN NOV

Written by Kyle Baxter (I Hate Love at the Midtown InterNational Theatre Festival), Never Norman Rockwell, a new spin on the classic coming out story, will be premiering at the Manhattan Repertory Theatre as part of its GAY AND LESBIAN PLAY SERIES, November 2009. Presented by The Collective Objective (I Hate Love and The Sword Politik), the production will feature direction by Anthony Gargano (Initial Sin).

In Never Norman Rockwell, Dan and Shelly are getting married. In the morning-after haze of Dan's bachelor party, his roommate Jack delivers the news that he's gay! Or maybe he's bi, Jack's a bit murky on the details. But what does this say about their friendship and why did Jack reveal it now? It turns out Jack's new boyfriend is the bride-to-be's brother, Mark, and with Saturday golf with the fathers, and even a pre-nup pregnancy, anything can happen. But one thing is for sure, this unpredictable post-modern screwball comedy will leave the audience in stitches.

The play stars Sarah Barry as Shelly, Dan Belmont as Dan, DR Mann Hanson as Mark, and Austin Mitchell as Jack.

Never Norman Rockwell runs November 4th, 5th and 6th at 7 PM the Manhattan Repertory Theatre, 303 West 42nd Street (at 8th avenue, 3rd floor).

Tickets are only $20 and can be reserved by phone at 646-329-6588. Visit http://manhattanrep.com for more details.

The Collective Objective racked up several nominations at this year's MITF awards for its productions of The Sword Politik and I Hate Love, winning three, and additionally the coveted Producers Award for I Hate Love. Collective Objective is a group of New York based actors and writers, producing their own work. Pledging to contribute what they have; to listen, learn, lead, love, inspire and build faith, to be more than one, to take upon ourselves, the strength of the many and its needs, to serve the collective objective in all its forms.
