LAByrinth Theater Company's World Premiere production of Ninth and Joanie will host a post-show talkback after the matinee performance this Saturday, May 5th. Stephen Adly Guirgis will moderate the discussion with the show's playwright, Brett C. Leonard. All audience members are welcome to stay in the theater after the matinee to take part in the conversation. The show, written by Brett C. Leonard and directed by MarK Wing-Davey, plays at The Bank Street Theater (155 Bank Street).
Dominic Fumusa ("Nurse Jackie," Take Me Out) and Rosal Colón (A Free Man of Color) join Kevin Corrigan (The Departed, "Grounded for Life") and Bob Glaudini (The Poison Tree, Jack Goes Boating) in this powerful portrait of a South Philadelphia Italian-American family in crisis. For Mr. Fumusa, Ninth and Joanie will mark his first time on a New York stage since last appearing to rave reviews in Sarah Ruhl's Passion Play, also directed by Mr. Wing-Davey. Mr. Fumusa has also recently appeared as Edie Falco's husband on the Showtime hit "Nurse Jackie". As for Ms. Colón, this will mark her first appearance with Labyrinth since she was made a Company Member last month. Samuel Mercedes rounds out the cast as Fumusa and Colón's seven-year-old son.
On the creative side, Set Design is by David Meyer, Costume Design by Labyrinth Co-Artistic Director Mimi O'Donnell, Lighting Design by Bradley King, and Sound Design by Zack Brown.
