ON THE HEAD OF A PIN to Open 2/24 at 59E59 Theaters

59E59 Theaters (Elysabeth Kleinhans, Artistic Director; Peter Tear, Executive Producer) welcome Strangemen & Co. with the world premiere of ON THE HEAD OF A PIN, written and directed by Frank Winters. ON THE HEAD OF A PIN begins performances on Thursday, February 21 for a limited engagement through Sunday, March 10. Press opening is Sunday, February 24 at 3:15 PM. The performance schedule is Tuesday - Thursday at 7:15 PM; Friday and Saturday at 8:15 PM; and Sunday at 3:15 PM. From the bowels of a stifling prison just outside of Baghdad to the executive suite of a major media outlet in New York City, ON THE HEAD OF A PIN is a smart and shocking political thriller that asks: who watches the watchers, and what happens when they look away?

The cast features Jason Ralph (Peter and the Starcatcher on Broadway), Emily Fleischer (No Exit at the Secret Theater), Devin Dunne Cannon (30 Rock), James Ortiz (El Gato Con Botas with Tectonic Theatre), Sofia Lauwers (Off Broadway debut), Jen Tullock (The Projectionist with NY Stage & Film), Will Gallacher, Marcus Callender (Blue Bloods on CBS), and Jennifer Loring (Off Broadway debut).

The design team includes James Ortiz (sets), Zach Pizza (lighting), Sarah Dowling (props), and Amanda Kullman (wardrobe). The stage manager is B. Bales Karlin.

This is Frank Winter's (playwright/director) directorial debut, and the second play he wrote, following Home Movies, which premiered at the Midtown International Theater Festival in 2011. He received a BFA in Acting at SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Theater Arts and Film.
