In celebration of Coyote REP's second season their Second
Annual Rising Moon Gala was held on November 3 at the historic Player's Club (16 Gramercy
Park South). Entertainment was provided by Award winning actor John Epperson (aka
Lypsinka) and Broadway Stars of In the
Heights, Mandy Gonzalez and Chris Jackson.
Gonzalez and Jackson, who sang selections from the show as well as some
of there personal favorites, were accompanied by the Musical Director of In The
Heights Alex Lacamoire.
Coyote REP presented two "Moon" awards at the Gala, honoring
outstanding contributions to the theater.
Jeremy Dobrish received the Moon Award for Outstanding Playwriting for
his play Deception and John Martello received the Moon Award for Outstanding
Contribution to the Theatre.
Big prize winners of the auction and raffle won two tickets
to the Tony Awards, two orchestra tickets to the Broadway show of their choice,
tickets to the Drama Desk Awards, dinner for ten at the Players' Club provided
by Elegant Affairs, Two-Day Hopper Passes to Disney World in Orlando, FL, VIP
tickets to Finding Nemo, and a two
night stay at a suite in the beautiful Lexington Hotel in downtown Orlando and
NY Giants tickets.
