Stage 13 Presents Fogler Helmed 'EXPOSED! The Curious Case of Shiloh and Zahara' For MITF 7/15-7/30

Stage 13 (Dan Fogler, Sarah Saltzberg, Bjorn Thorstad; artistic directors) and the Midtown InterNational Theatre Festival present the New York Premiere of Kate Gersten's EXPOSED! The Curious Case of Shiloh and Zahara at The Main Stage Theater for 6 performances only, July 15th -July 30th. Stage 13 will also be hosting a fundraiser at Bar 13 (35 East 13th St.) on Saturday July 11th, which will include drinks, food and entertainment.

Working in film, theater, television and new media, Stage 13 produced The Rise and Fall of Annie Hall at Theatre Row last October, Elephant in the Room in the 2007 New York International Fringe Festival and Dan O'Brien's Voyage of the Carcass at Soho Repertory Theatre. Also last year, in collaboration with Yale Repertory Theatre, Stage 13 work-shopped Jay Reiss' Meanwhile on the Other Side of Mount Vesuvius, with music by Scott Murphy, directed by Jon Carrafa. And The company's improv-based comedy thriller film "Hysterical Psycho" just enjoyed its premier in this year's TriBeca Film Festival."

Dan Fogler directs the cast comprised of Kate Gersten (The Rise and Fall of Annie Hall, Williamstown Theater Festival, Hysterical Psycho), Kelly McCreary (Passing Strange), Nancy McNulty (Future Me; I Knock at the Door/Pictures; Williamstown Theatre Festival), Kelly Hutchinson (Desire Under the Elms; Hysterical Psycho; Catch Me If you Can), Bjorn Thorstad (Elephant in the Room, The Drama League, Scooby-Doo In Stagefright); Yang Miller (The People's Improv Theatre); Dennis Staroselsky (Mambo Kings - pre-brodaway; It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia; Elephant in the Room). EXPOSED! will feature set design by Casey Smith, costumes by David Withrow, lighting design by Zack Brown and sound design by Rich Meitin. Angie Hesterman is the production stage manager, and Gina DeMayo is the producer.

In this new comedy, we are asked "What becomes of celebrity children who grow up in the spotlight?" Twenty years into the future, we find one house bound, a second unable to date, and a third... the spawn of the devil. This is an outlandish and stylish play about the next generation of Hollywood royalty.

Performances begin on July 15th at 9pm. Other performances include Sunday, July 19th at 6 pm, Friday July 24th at 5pm, Sunday July 26th at noon, Wednesday July 29th at 9pm. The final performance will be Thursday July 30th at 8:30pm. All performances will take place at The Midtown InterNational Theatre Festival at The Main Stage Theater (312 W. 36th Street).

Stage 13- is an ensemble driven company of artists who share a common vision and are dedicated to generating new material for the American theatre, film, television and new media industries. We're interested in projects that are deeply human, visually striking, relentlessly athletic and eminently ambitious - art that links the vulgar and the magical, the intimate and the epic, and that seeks to understand the joy, the terror, and the wonder of being alive...in a nutshell. Stage 13 grew out of Boston University's School for the Arts, where all three artistic directors were classmates along with many founding and current members. Though The company is only three years old, most of the artists in Stage 13 have been working together in one form or another for the past decade on stages around the country as well as here in NYC, including Broadway, off-Broadway, and improv theatres like The Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB) and The People's Improv Theater (The PIT). In 2004, Sarah Saltzberg and Dan Fogler were part of the creative team behind the Tony Award winning The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, and continued with the show to Broadway where it ran for almost three years. Since then, collaborating with friends and fellow artists on projects centered around their ensemble has been the cornerstone of Stage 13 productions. Membership in The company is by association, participation and contribution. Stage 13 also works closely with Poly Prep CDS in Brooklyn as part of an ongoing educational and community outreach component of its many initiatives.
