Kate Gersten - Exposed! The Curious Case of Shiloh and Zahara marks Kate's playwriting debut. As an actor, Kate has appeared in the Stage 13 productions of The Rise and Fall of Annie Hall (Dir: Sam Gold), Elephant in the Room (Dir: Dan Fogler), and Sight Unseen. Other New York and Regional credits include: Actresshead, written for Kate by her sister, Pulitzer finalist Alexandra Gersten-Vassilaros, Bright Ideas, Hidden Voices (dir: Terrence Mann), Gypsy, Who's Affraid of Virginia Woolf, Once Upon A Mattress (Dir: Carol Burnett), The Maids, The San Francisco production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch (Dir: Jason Eagan). At the Williamstown Theater Festival she appeared in The Skin of Our Teeth, On the Razzle, Carrie; The Musical, A Clockwork Orange, Our Country's Good, and A Servant of Two Masters. Film and TV credits include: Dan Fogler's Hysterical Psycho, which premiered at this year's Tribeca Film Festival, Marconi Brothers, Razortooth, A Night in the Hill, Sex and the City, As the World Turns and the pilot episodes of Theater is Dead and Hedge Fund. Kate studied theater at UCLA and is a proud member of Stage 13.
Dan Fogler received the Tony, Outer Critics, Broadway Theater World and Lortel Awards as well as a Drama Desk for Best Ensemble for his portrayal of William Barfee (It's Barfay!) in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, which before Broadway's Circle in the Square was presented at Barrington Stage, Second Stage, and at The Theatorium when the show was originally known as "C-R-E-P-U-S-C-U-L-E" and presented by The Farm. His other theater credits include The Ref in Joe Fearless (Atlantic theater, Ford theater NYC), Fred in Bridges and Harmonies (NYC Drama League), The Interrogator in Bobby Gould in Hell (Theater Row), Bane/Bill in the Voyage of The Carcass (Soho Playhouse), Bottom in A Midsummer Night's Dream (Access Theater) and The Detective Sketches (Lincoln Center Lab) Dan also wrote and directed Elephant in the Room inspired by Ionesco which was accepted into the NY Fringe festival, 2007. He is currently working on his play Little Exodus. His film credits include, "School for Scoundrels," "The Marconi Bros," "Balls of Fury," "Good Luck Chuck," "Horton Hears A Who," "Kung Fu Panda," "Fanboys," "Young Americans," "Traveling," and upcoming Ang Lee's "Taking Woodstock." "Hysterical Psycho," the film Dan conceived and directed, premiered this year in The Tribeca Film Festival.
