THE OTHER JOSH COHEN Resumes Performances Today, 11/3

Super Storm Sandy sidelined the Off-Broadway hit, The Other Josh Cohen now at the SoHo Playhouse which lost power earlier in the week along with most of downtown New York. Earlier today the power returned and with it, Josh Cohen. Beginning with today's 3PM matinee The Other Josh Cohen and will resume its normal playing schedule. (Wednesday- Friday at 8PM; Saturday at 3PM & 8PM; Sunday at 2PM & 5PM)

The Other Josh Cohen is a new musical comedy with book, music and lyrics by David Rossmer and Steve Rosen and is directed by the very fancy, Tony Award-winning Ted Sperling, with choreography by Andrew Palermo and musical direction by Vadim Feichtner.

The Other Josh Cohen has been delighting audience since it began performances on October 10, opening on October 21 to glowing reviews.The show's initial run is through November 11 at the SoHo Playhouse (15 Vandam Street).

The Other Josh Cohen began performances on October 10 and opened on Sunday, October 21. It runs through November 11, 2012 only, and plays at the scenic SoHo Playhouse (15 Vandam Street). The Other Josh Cohen tells the true story of a good guy trying to break a streak of incredibly bad luck. He's single, broke and just a few days before Valentine's Day, comes home to find his apartment has been completely robbed. Well, almost; the thief had the decency to leave behind a Neil Diamond CD.

Six days later a mysterious letter arrives in his mailbox that changes his life forever. Will his Jewish guilt let him enjoy his good fortune? Will he ever be able to stop kicking himself if he doesn't? And will there ever be a time when nice guys finish first?

Rossmer and Rosen both play Josh Cohen -- one in the present day, the other Josh, one year earlier. The two frequently interact (and sing) together, creating a funny absurdity of one guy relating with himself. The score is in the style of a long-lost Neil Diamond album.
