THE 39 STEPS Begins Final Off-Broadway Performances

THE_39_STEPS_Begins_Final_OffBroadway_Performances_20010101

The final two weeks of performances have begun for Alfred Hitchcock's THE 39 STEPS . On Sunday, January 16th at 3:00PM, the hit comedy will play their final performance at New World Stages following 318 performances Off-Broadway and over 1,100 total performances in New York City.

To celebrate this momentous occasion, one lucky winner will be chosen at the final performance to receive a special trip to London that includes two round trip airline tickets, a three night breakfast-included stay at the stylish Cavendish Hotel, and two tickets to see THE 39 STEPS at The Criterion Theatre on the West End. The drawing will happen immediately following the final performance. There's still time to enter to win! Interested participants can enter by filling out forms available in the theater or by emailing their name and telephone number to 39StepsLondonTrip@gmail.com. Emails must be sent before January 12th. No purchase is necessary and the winner does not need to be present to win.

In addition to the trip prize, all audience members at the final performance on January 16th will receive a FREE mystery book courtesy of Penguin Books.

Alfred Hitchcock's THE 39 STEPS plays at the New World Stages/ Stage 1 (340 West 50th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues).
Adapted by Patrick Barlow and directed by Maria Aitken, THE 39 STEPS is based on an original concept by Simon Corble and Nobby Dimon and on the book by John Buchan.

THE 39 STEPS features a cast of four actors who, against all odds, breathlessly and hilariously attempt to reenact all of the characters, locations and famous scenes in Hitchcock's 1935 film thriller with just a few props and a lot of theatrical ingenuity and split second quick changes.

The cast features John Behlmann as Richard Hannay, Cameron Folmar as Man #2, Jamie Jackson as Man #1 and Kate MacCluggage as Annabella Schmidt/Pamela/Margaret. The production also features Greg Jackson and ElizaBeth Davis.

Set and costume design is by Peter McKintosh, lighting design is by Kevin Adams and sound design is by Mic Pool. Original movement was created by Toby Sedgwick. Additional movement is created by Christopher Bayes. Production stage manager is M. William Shiner.
