B*tch, which opens on January 5th at the This Historic Players Theatre at 115 MacDougal Street, will be taking a stand against animal cruelty by donating a dollar from each ticket to the ASPCA. B*tch is a rapid-fire, provocative, urban crime-comedy that centers on three brothers who find themselves involved in dog fighting ring in what is a seemingly perfect get-rich-quick scheme. Nothing goes quite as they had planned.
The Theatre Project, Off-Broadway's "Adventurous New Company," will be presenting the world premiere production of former HBO head-writer, Sean Pomposello's new play, B*tch, under the direction of Christian Amato. The limited engagement will run for 12 performances from January 5th-28th. Tickets are available on both Gold Star and Theatre Mania.
"B*tch addresses the topic of dog fighting from a clever angle in order to expose the cruelty and abuse that surrounds the gruesome sport," said director Amato. "The topic has been at the forefront of national media, but has yet to reach the stage. Through the production, we hope that many people will realize how real of an issue animal cruelty is."
After a successful stage reading earlier this November, B*tch takes the stage with a talented cast of performers. Featuring Michael Neithardt, Benjamin Weaver, Gina LeMoine, and Equity Members Brian Cheng and Arthur Aulisi.
