Tom Riis Farrell to Join A.R. Gurney's THE OLD BOY Off-Broadway

The Drama Desk and Obie Award-winning Keen Company today announced that Tom Riis Farrell will join the cast of their production of the newly revised version of A.R. Gurney's 1991 play, The Old Boy, replacing Hal Robinson. Performances of this Off-Broadway Limited Engagement begin February 12th and continue through March 24th only. Mr. Robinson withdrew for personal reasons.

Keen Artistic Director Jonathan Silverstein (The Temperamentals and Keen's Marry Me a Little and The Dining Room) directs a cast that also features Marsha Dietlein Bennett (Woman in Mind with Helen Mirren [LA], Fitzgerald's Family Christmas [film]), Cary Donaldson (Mrs. Warren's Profession [Roundabout], Timon of Athens [Public]), Chris Dwan (Campus Life [film], Lord of the Flies [Barrington Stage]), Laura Esterman (Marvin's Room [Drama Desk, Obie Awards], Metamorphosis on Broadway with Mikhail Baryshnikov, Keen's Outward Bound; The Green [film]), and Peter Rini (Neil Simon's Proposals, TV: "Blue Bloods," "Smash").

Tom Riis Farrell's Broadway credits include Chicago, Coram Boy, Dirty Blonde (Helen Hayes Award), Wrong Mountain, 1776. Off-Broadway, he has been seen in Arturo Ui with Al Pacino (National Actors Theatre); Li'l Abner (Encores!); Mary Rose and Slug Bearers of Kayrol Island (Vineyard). Regional: Betty's Summer Vacation (Bay Street); Circle Mirror Transformation with Sandy Duncan (George Street); Rag and Bone (Long Wharf); Once in a Lifetime (Williamstown). TV credits: "elemeNtarY"; "The Americans"; "Good Wife"; "Fringe"; "Brotherhood"; seven "L&O"s; "Ed"; "Spin City". Films: Bourne Legacy, All Good Things, Stepford Wives, Almost Famous, Out-of-Towners, Devil's Advocate, Sleepless in Seattle, Scent of a Woman (upcoming: Are We Officially Dating?).

From the author of the acclaimed hits Love Letters, Sylvia and Keen's award-winning The Dining Room, comes the story of a successful politician who returns to his elite prep school to dedicate a building to his best friend, only to discover he may have been responsible for his death. Chosen by Time Magazine as one of the year's 10 Best Plays for 1991, The Old Boy traces the conflict between old and new American values and having the courage to change. "As powerful as anything this playwright has written" declared the New York Times. The Hollywood Reporter added "a beautifully structured, fleshed out drama that reminds us what compassion and morals are all about."

Performances will be at The Clurman Theatre at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street, between 9th and 10th Avenues) and will be Tuesdays at 7pm; Wednesday through Friday at 8pm; Saturdays at 2pm & 8pm; and Sunday matinees at 3pm. Opening Night is set for Tuesday, March 5th at 7pm.

Tickets will be $62.50 for The Old Boy (including a $1.25 Restoration Fee) and may be purchased online at Telecharge.com or by phone at 212/239-6200 or in person at the Theatre Row Box Office. For more information, visit www.keencompany.org
