Aaron-Carter-Performs-Final-Week-in-THE-FANTASTICKS-20010101

Triple platinum recording artist Aaron Carter will be performing his final week as Matt in The Fantasticks. His last performance will be on Sunday Feb. 17, 2013 at 7:30 PM. Carter is leaving the production to do a national tour.

Carter will perform in a special Valentine's Day performance of The Fantasticks on Thursday, February 14 (Valentine's Day) at 8PM. Complimentary Champagne will be on hand for audience members.

When asked about leaving The Fantasticks, Carter said, "I'm looking forward to going on tour and working on my music, but The Fantasticks was a life changing experience for me. Come see me before I go!" Carter extended his run in The Fantasticks four times since joining the cast on Nov. 7, 2011.

Aaron Carter burst onto the pop music scene in the late nineties and quickly achieved worldwide superstardom and the adoration of millions of loyal fans, selling more than 30 million records. In The Fantasticks, he plays the role of Matt, a rebellious young romantic who becomes restless, goes out into the world and discovers that with love comes responsibility, with independence comes danger, and with maturity comes happiness.

About The Fantasticks
A modern twist on Romeo and Juliet, The Fantasticks (music by Harvey Schmidt, book, lyrics, and direction by Tom Jones) is the quintessential story of a boy and girl who fall in love and then quickly grow apart when they realize they want to experience the world. The score, which includes the hit songs "Try To Remember", "Soon It's Gonna Rain" and "They Were You", is as timeless as the story itself.

The Fantasticks cast also includes legendary television, film and stage performer John Davidson, who played Aaron's role in the 1964 HallMark Hall of Fame television version of The Fantasticks, MacIntyre Dixon (Broadway's Gypsy, Sly Fox, 1776, Beauty and the Beast, The Tempest), Addi McDaniel (Arena Stage, The Guthrie and South Coast Rep) Michael Nostrand (A&E's Emmy Award-?winning Peter Pan, national tours of Jelly's Last Jam, The Mystery of Edwin Drood), Richard Roland (Broadway's Thoroughly Modern Millie, Follies, Scarlet Pimpernel, and played Matt in The Fantasticks), Daniel Rowan (Lyric Stage and Casa Manana), and Dan Sharkey (Broadway's The Music Man, Show Boat).
