Photo Flash: Sonnet Rep Presents TWELFTH NIGHT

Following their sold out run of Richard II, Sonnet Repertory Theatre presents Twelfth Night at The Theatre at St. Clement's this July. Director Michael Lluberes brings a new vision of Twelfth Night to the Sonnet Rep stage. By turns sad and hilarious, this Twelfth Night is an exploration of love in all its forms: obsessive, beautiful, sexy, manic and mad.

Sonnet Repertory Theatre's mission is dedicated to classic theatre for the modern planet. As a non-profit organization, SRT seeks to promote classic theatre to a contemporary audience by producing insightful and relevant interpretations, while also providing diverse and challenging creative opportunities.

The production features Yaya DaCosta (TV: "Ugly Betty," First Runner-Up in "America's Next Top Model" third season; Off-B'way: The First Breeze of Summer at Signature Theater Company; Film: The Kids Are All Right, The Messenger, Take the Lead) Jolly Abraham (B'way: Coram Boy, Bombay Dreams; Off-B'way: Hamlet at The Pearl Theatre, McReele at Roundabout), Nick Choksi (NY: Book of Days at SPF, Huck and Holden at Cherry Lane; Regional: Love's Labor Lost, Imaginary Theater Company; TV: "The Sopranos"), Ted Schneider (Off-B-way: Ghosts at CSC, Birdy at Women's Project, The Geranium on the Window Sill Just Died at Urban Stages), Phillip Christian (NY: Three Sisters at The Classical Theatre of Harlem; Numerous productions at NYSF, NJSF, Great Lakes Theatre Festival, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, among others), Lucas Hall (NY: Othello & All's Well That Ends Well at Theater For a New Audience, Edward the Second at Red Bull, The Hasty Heart at Keen Company; Regional: Hamlet, Measure for Measure, The Violet Hour at Old Globe, The Two Noble Kinsmen at Chicago Shakespeare Theater), Ian Lowe (NY: Twelfth Night at Aquila Theatre Company; Regional: My Fair Lady at Capital Rep, June Moon at Dorset Theatre Festival, Leo in The Producers at Seven Angels Theatre and New Bedford Festival Theatre), Jennifer Lyon (B'way: Tom Stoppard's Coast of Utopia; Regional: Crimes of the Heart at South Coast Rep, Born Yesterday -- Ovation Award nomination, Noises Off -- OC Weekly Actress of the Year 2009), Brynne Morrice (NY: Airborne at Ensemble Studio Theatre), Henry Vick (NY: When The Rain Stops Falling at Lincoln Center Theatre, Three Musketeers, Macbeth, & Two Gents at The Acting Company) and Paul Whitty (B'way: The Full Monty; NY: Shakesbare: The Seven Deadly Sins & Naked Will at Sonnet Rep; TV: "Guiding Light").

Director Michael Lluberes brings a multitude of experience to the production. Writing/Directing credits include: The Boy in the Bathroom (2007 New York Musical Theatre Festival, NYMF awards: The Microsoft/HealthVault Most Promising New Musical Award, Best Book, Honorable Mention: Best Direction, Anna Sosenko Trust Award, Richard Rodgers Award Finalist, ASCAP/Disney Musical Theatre Workshop with Stephen Schwartz), The Geranium on the Windowsill Just Died (Urban Stages), 1,000 Cats (UCB, HBO's Funny Or Die Presents), Lincoln Center Theatre Director's LaB. Michael's acting credits include the National Tour of Dirty Dancing, as well as numerous Off-B'way, regional and television credits including: American Dreams: Lost and Found, Pudd'nhead Wilson, As You Like It, The Taming of the Shrew (The Acting Company, Lucille Lortel), A Midsummer Night's Dream (Sonnet Rep) Twelfth Night (Cincinnati Playhouse, St. Louis Rep); "Chappelle's Show" and "Tough Crowd" (Comedy Central).

Original music is created by Ben Toth, a film and theatre composer, producer, and musical director. He is currently composing the score for Patrimony, a short film starring Oscar-nominee Robert Vaughn and Tony-nominee Melissa Errico. Ben just finished writing the score for the full-length feature One Fall, produced by Independent Spirit Award-winner Dean Silvers. He is developing a musical with and for Mandy Patinkin, centering on New York's controversial master-builder Robert Moses. Ben recently completed a new album for Melora Hardin ("The Office"), working as co-producer with Richard Jay-Alexander (director for Barbra Streisand), which had its national release in February 2010.

Assistant Director, Anna Strasser, is currently an assistant at Laura Stanczyk Casting, where she helped cast Ragtime and Lombardi for Broadway as well as projects for the McCarter, Kennedy Center, Wilma Theater, and Alley Theatre, among others. She previously worked with Marc Bruni as his assistant on both Glimpses of the Moon (Algonquin Hotel) and High Spirits (York Theatre).

Set design is by Seth Easter (The Boy in the Bathroom and September 19 at Via Dance Collaborative; The Geranium in the Window Sill Just Died at Urban Stages; Television: "The Apprentice" live season finale, The Tony Awards, We Are One Inauguration of Barack Obama at The Lincoln Memorial, the Democratic and Republican Presidential debates on ABC News), Lighting design is by Brad Peterson (Seussical!
