'Sex' Writers Talk CEDAR CITY FALLS with the New York Times

It has been nearly five years since former Sex and the City writers Liz Tuccillo ('Sex and the City,' He's Just Not That Into You), Cindy Chupack (Emmy and three-time Golden Globe winner as a writer and producer of Sexand the City), Elisa Zuritsky, and Julie Rottenberg (Emmy nominated) have collaborated on a project. Fortunately their newest venture, Cedar City Falls, showcases what the four talents do best: bring juicy, comedic soap opera to life in a series of weekly episodes that will be presented live by the LAByrinth Theater Company at the Cell Theater beginning October 6 for four weeks (through October 27) and at Galapagos Art Space in Brooklyn for a final four weeks (November 4 - 24).

As previously reported, former 'Sex and the City' writers are teaming up to write a weekly downtown theatrical soap titled Cedar City Falls - a Mid-West Conflict with Labyrinth Theater Company members. Performances will be every Tuesday night at 7:00 and 9:30 at the Cell Theater beginning October 6 for four weeks (through October 27) and will continue its final four weeks at Galapagos Art Space in Brooklyn ( November 4 - 24).

The Laurie Beechman Theatre will welcome two of Broadway's most esteemed performers - Alison Fraser and Mary Testa (with special guest, Annie Golden), for two very special performances as part of our celebrated Voices from the Great White Way Series. After two previous sold out performances The Laurie Beechman has added two more chances to see Testa and Fraser: Monday, November 10 @ 7pm and Monday, November 24 @ 10pm.

On Monday September 29th, Xanadu's Mary Testa joined Gypsy's Alison Fraser for a concert to celebrate the work of Fraser's late husband, composer Rusty Magee. The concert - entitled 'Together Again' - was held at the Laurie Beechman Theatre, which is located within the West Bank Cafe. The singing actresses were accompanied by a full band led by Allison Leyton-Brown.
