Aurora Theatre Company will continue its 29th season with Toni Morrison’s THE BLUEST EYE, adapted by Lydia R. Diamond. Associate Artistic Director Dawn Monique Williams (Bull In A China Shop) directs this poignant drama about Black girlhood, the poisonous effects of racism, and the heartbreak of shame.

TampaRep Zooms Back with All-New, Virtual Production of War Drama Flying

Tampa Repertory Theatre will present a live, virtual production of award-winning Tampa Bay playwright Sheila Cowley's World War II drama Flying on Sunday, August 16 at 3 PM, on the Zoom videoconferencing platform. The production is helmed by internationally renowned stage director L. Peter Callender. A live talkback with the playwright, director and cast will be held following the performance.

IMAGINING MADOFF Makes NY Premiere At 59E59 Theaters

59E59 Theaters (Val Day, Artistic Director; Brian Beirne, Managing Director) is thrilled to present the New York premiere of IMAGINING MADOFF, written by Deb Margolin and directed by Jerry Heymann. Produced by New Light Theater Project, IMAGINING MADOFF begins performances on Friday, March 1 for a limited engagement through Saturday, March 23. Press Opening is Wednesday, March 6. The performance schedule is Tuesday - Friday at 7:30 PM; Saturday at 2:30 PM & 7:30 PM; Sunday at 2:30 PM. Performances are at 59E59 Theaters (59 East 59th Street, between Park and Madison Avenues). Cast Announced For New Light Theater Projects' Revival Of Yasmina Reza's LIFE X3

New Light Theater Project (Producing Director, Michael Aguirre; Artistic Director, Sarah Norris) is thrilled to present a revival of Yasmina Reza's LIFE x3, translated by Christopher Hampton and directed by Jerry Heymann. LIFE x3 begins performances on Tuesday, November 20 for a limited engagement through Saturday, December 8.  Press opening is Sunday, November 25 at 3 PM.  The performance schedule is Wednesday - Saturday at 7:30 PM; Sunday at 3 PM. There is an added performance on Tuesday, November 21 at 7:30 PM; there are no performances on Wednesday, November 22 Thursday, November 23, and Friday, November 24 for Thanksgiving. B Street Theatre Extends THE LADIES FOURSOME Due To Popular Demand

The Ladies Foursome was based upon an earlier play by Foster entitled The Foursome, in which four men who are old buddies from college, play 18 holes of golf. Foster shifted the story to feature four women instead of four men, and changed the plot in specific ways to fit his new cast of characters. Ladies Foursome premiered at the Morrisburg Theatre in Montreal, Canada in July of 2014. The show received glowing reviews with many critics claiming that this new Foursome was better than the first. Soon after, the play received an American premiere at the B Street Theatre, and since then has been produced at the Bay Theatre in Baltimore, Theatre Baddeck in Cape Brenton Island, and the Toowoomba Theatre in Canada.

Bickford Theatre Announces Cast of A DOG STORY

The Bickford Theatre at the Morris Museum has announced the cast for the New Jersey premiere of the musical comedy A Dog Story. A hit in its Off-Broadway run in late 2016, the play will be directed by Bickford Theatre Producing Artistic Director Eric Hafen. A Dog Story will be performed from April 12 - 22, 2018. The book of the show was written by Eric H. Weinberger with music and lyrics by Gayla D. Morgan.

I LOVE YOU, YOU'RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE Comes to UCPAC

Nominated for the Outer Critics Circle Award as Outstanding Off-Broadway musical in 1997, I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change is a musical comedy with book and lyrics by Joe DiPietro and music by Jimmy Roberts. Directed and Produced by Brian Remo and Jessica Foerst (If/Then, Hamlet), and Musically Directed by Alex Golden, this hilarious show is a favorite for couples and singles of all ages. This run of theatrical performances will be held March 2 - 11 at the Union County Performing Arts Center's Hamilton Stage.

Brooks Ashmanskas, Beth Leavel, and Christopher Sieber Will Bring THE PROM to Broadway

It was announced today that the hilarious new Broadway musical comedy THE PROM will star Tony Award Nominee Brooks Ashmanskas (Something Rotten!), Tony Award Winner Beth Leavel (The Drowsy Chaperone), two-time Tony Award Nominee Christopher Sieber (Shrek the Musical), Caitlin Kinnunen (Bridges of Madison County), Isabelle McCalla (Aladdin), Michael Potts (Jitney), Angie Schworer (The Producers), Courtenay Collins (Broadway Debut) and Josh Lamon (Groundhog Day) and will officially open on Broadway on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at a Shubert theater to be announced.
