Pittsburgh Cultural Trust Announces Januscary Film Festival at the Harris Theater

The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust has announced the Januscary Film Festival at the Harris Theater, six classic and new horror films come to the historic theater throughout the first week of January. Januscary kicks off with a FREE screening of John Carpenter's, The Thing on Saturday, January 1 at 8:00 p.m, a free ticket is required for entry.

Signature Theatre's U.S. Premiere of A PARTICLE OF DREAD(OEDIPUS VARIATIONS) by Sam Shepard, directed by Nancy Meckler opened last night at the Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues. The production will now play through Sunday, January 4, 2015.

The Drama Desk and Obie Award-winning Keen Company (Carl Forsman, Artistic Director/Damon Chua, Executive Director) today announced that John Cunningham would join Kathleen Chalfant and Kate Turnbull for Tina Howe's Painting Churches, the 1983 Pulitzer Prize finalist. Keen Artistic Director Carl Forsman directs. Mr. Cunningham replaces the previously announced Richard Easton, who had to withdraw due to a scheduling conflict. Performances will begin February 14, with Opening Night set for March 6.
