The Rep Continues Year Three of IGNITE! FESTIVAL OF NEW PLAYS, Begin. 3/19

The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis (The Rep) continues the Ignite! Festival of New Plays. Taking place in March, the festival will include commissions of nationally recognized playwrights, culminating with three public readings including Ten Questions to Ask Your Biology Teacher About Evolution by Stephen Massicotte and directed by Tracy Brigden; Every Reason to Hope and Believe by Laura Eason and directed by Seth Gordon; and Georama-A Mostly True Story of the Forgotten John Banvard by West Hyler and Matt Schatz and directed by West Hyler.

Kean University's Department of Theatre will present Macbeth, Shakespeare's timeless tale of lust, betrayal, and power, Friday, November 15th through Saturday, November 23rd in Kean's spacious Wilkins Theatre. Directed by Department of Theatre professor Ernest W. Wiggins, Macbeth features a cast of twenty-six student actors, as well as scenic, lighting, and sound designs by student designers. Daniel Pellicano, who recently received rave reviews as the troubled Jacob in The Beautiful Dark at Premiere Stages, plays the title role.

Napa Valley Winemaker Scott Harvey announces new Thanksgiving wines from both Napa Valley and Amador County, featuring Zinfandel pairings for Thanksgiving dinner recipes. Winemaker Scott Harvey is renowned for his Zinfandel. Last year, Sunset Magazine named Scott Harvey's 2010 Mountain Selection Zinfandel as 'The Perfect Zin to pair with a pungent, spicy, fruity Thanksgiving dinner.' His 2010 Old Vine Reserve Zinfandel earned 94 points from Beverage Testing Institute. This November, with Thanksgiving around the corner, winemaker Scott Harvey has introduced 3 new red wines created to enhance the Thanksgiving table.
