American Mural Project announced today A Tribute to American Workers, a virtual event featuring actor and educator Geoffrey Owens (The Cosby Show and Tyler Perry's The Haves and the Have Nots) and award-winning radio journalist John Dankosky. The program, to be held on April 28 at 8pm EST, will feature Owens and Dankosky in conversation with AMP Founder and Artistic Director Ellen Griesedieck, a never-before-seen drone tour of AMP's sprawling mural, a special musical performance by world-renowned singer Theresa Thomason, and a few additional surprises.

Artistic Director Sean Hagerty has announced the 2020 expanded Season of Jersey City's award-winning Shakespeare@ with Spring and Fall productions. Now in their second year, the company centers on accessible interpretations of classic works, with a focus on diverse, large-cast dramas in intimate and unique spaces.

2019 Tony winner Andre De Shields has been attending The National Black Theatre Festival® (NBTF) in Winston-Salem, N. C. since 1995. Dubbed the 'Black Theatre Holy Ground,' NBTF is the international outreach program of the North Carolina Black Repertory Company, founded by the late Larry Leon Hamlin in 1979. The Festival, also founded by Hamlin, has been held biennially since 1989. The NCBRC celebrated its 40th anniversary this year, while the NBTF celebrated its 30th.
