Epic Theatre to Present Blackburn-Winning PALACE OF THE END

Epic Theatre Ensemble (formerly Epic Theatre Center) announced today that it will present the New York Premiere of the new drama, Palace of the End by Judith Thompson. It was also announced yesterday that the Thompson play is the 2008 winner of the prestigious Susan Smith Blackburn Prize for playwrighting.

'The Daily Show' and New York stage regular Aasif Mandvi will host the 7th Annual Winter Gala of Epic Theatre Ensemble on Monday February 25 at 6PM at 24 Fifth. Others set to lend their support include Cicely Tyson, Tamara Tunie, Gregory Generet, David Strathairn, Leigh Silverman, Kathleen Chalfant, Gordon Elliot and musical guests The Petersons.
INTAR Theatre Stages Rediscovered Classic 'Night Over Taos'

INTAR Theatre, one of America's longest running Latino theaters producing plays in English, begins its 42nd season with a production of Pulitzer Prize-winner Maxwell Anderson's Night Over Taos, directed by Academy Award-winning actress and director Estelle Parsons. This rediscovered classic will play a limited Off-Broadway run from September 20 through October 20 at Theater for the New City. The official opening is set for Monday, October 1 at 7PM.
