Out Front Theatre Company to Introduce Summer Camp Series for Students of All Ages

Out Front Theatre Company proudly announces the programming for its inaugural summer camp series for student theater enthusiasts, from elementary school through college! The camp series will provide an opportunity for area students to learn and sharpen their theatre skills in a welcoming, fun environment with fellow thespians.

Chromolume Theatre at the Attic has produced Tim Acito's very cleverly written  ZANNA, DON'T! with very mixed results. Major sound glitches opening night marred the ability to clearly hear all of Acito's very witty lyrics set in a fictional high school where gayness is the norm and heteros are shunned.

Chromolume Theatre at the Attic has announced the first production in its 2017 Season of Musicals, the off-Broadway hit Zanna, Don't! Opening today, January 13 at 8pm, the show will play a strictly limited engagement through February 5. Zanna, Don't! has book, music, and lyrics by Tim Acito with additional lyrics by Alexander Dinelaris. The Chromolume production will feature musical direction by Daniel Yokomizo, choreography by Michael Marchak, and is directed by Lauren J. Peters.

The Chromolume Theatre at The Attic in Los Angeles has announced a season of musicals for 2017, kicking off on January 13 with the off-Broadway hit Zanna, Don't! by Tim Acito, followed in May by Michael John LaChiusa's Hello Again, and concluding with the rarely produced Stephen Sondheim & John Weidman classic Pacific Overtures, opening in September.

The students write a controversial show called 'Don't ask, Don't tell' about straight people in the military, which becomes the catalyst for a young man and woman to fall in love. When the students put on an original musical about the hot-button issue of straights in the military (because if musical theater won't address important political issues, what will?), the opposite-sex leads realize their true feelings for each other and all hell breaks loose in the quiet town of Heartsville. It's up to magical matchmaker Zanna to put things right and bring love to all - including himself!

New Ground Theatre Festival, Cleveland Play House's annual showcase of new theatrical works will open with the world premiere production of Deborah Zoe Laufer's thought-provoking Informed Consent. The Festival is comprised of 25 performances of works ranging from fully-produced, large-scale collaborations to solo performances, to readings of plays hot off the writer's printer that represent a variety of new work from nationally-recognized artists. This year's lineup also includes work from Tony Award nominee and CWRU/CPH alumna, Elizabeth A. Davis, as well as critically acclaimed playwrights George Brant and Eric Coble, and Roe Green Award Winner Heidi Schreck. For the third consecutive year, the Roe Green Award brings a leading American playwright to Cleveland to develop a new project culminating in a reading and public conversation with the playwright. CPH is indebted to Honorary Producer Roe Green, Supporting Sponsor Ohio Savings Bank and Associate Sponsors Ulmer & Berne, Westlake Reed Leskosky and Walter Haverfield. The New Ground Theatre Festival will run from today, May 7 - 17.
