Barks, who is best known for her stand-out performance as Eponine in the film adaptation of LES MISERABLES, will portray the inquisitive and charmingly shy Amelie. ZORBA! is the final production of New York City Center's 2015 Encores! season. The Public Theater's production of David Byrne and Alex Timbers' smash hit musical, Here Lies Love, begins performances on April 14th with an opening night set for May 1st at The Public Theater's LuEsther Hall for an open-ended commercial run. The principal cast from the 2013 world premiere of Here Lies Love returns, including Ruthie Ann Miles and Jose Llana as Imelda and Ferdinand Marcos, and Conrad Ricamora as Ninoy Aquino. Epic Megalopolis Productions (New York/Los Angeles) will produce a concert reading of Swedish pop band Brainpool's new rock opera JUNK on November 17th and 19th at the National Opera Center in New York City. JUNK will be the first rock opera presented in the new recital hall opened by Opera America earlier this year, a venue dedicated to supporting the creation, presentation, and enjoyment of opera.
